Every photograph I’ve actually taken
Every image on this site is my own, shot on the stays themselves. No stock, no press kits. A gallery of rooms, views, and the small details that made a place worth writing about.
Shot on the trip, not staged after
Every photograph of a room, a suite, a table, or a view on this site was taken by me, on the stay itself. Nothing comes from a hotel’s press office and nothing is licensed stock. Most frames are made on a Nikon D850 — the full-frame body that handles dim lobbies and blown-out balconies without complaint — with a Sony RX100 V in a jacket pocket for the places a large camera would be intrusive, and an iPhone 16 Pro Max for everything that happens too fast to unpack a bag. The wide island shots are taken from seaplane windows and high floors, never a drone.
Editing is deliberately light. I cull and colour-grade in Lightroom to keep the whites honest and the blues close to what I actually saw, do the occasional cleanup in Photoshop, and export web-friendly files so the galleries stay sharp without being slow. The goal is a photo that looks like the room did — not a better version of it.
